102 Mega Fm Lobo pa Lupur (Farming World) and Lobo pa Lee ( Animal World or Husbandry) presenter Amito Grace Has won the George Atkins communication Award for this year. The Award will be presented to her in November at a function to be held in Canada. The George Arkins Award was established in 1991 and each year it is presented to a partner who demonstrates a commitment to food security and excellence in radio broadcasting. It is named for Dr. George S. Atkins, founding Director of Farm International, who also worked as a farm broadcaster at the Canadian Corporation (CBC)
Farm Radio International is a Canadian-based, not-for-profit organization working in direct partnership with approximately 330 radio broadcasters in 39 African countries to fight poverty and food insecurity.
