Two DPs cross to FDC.

Two Democratic Party LC V councilors from Amuru district have defected to Forum for Democratic Change party.

Patrick Okello Oryema former District Vice Chairman and Justin Lungajul the current District Vice Chairman respectively were welcomed by the FDC party president Dr. Kizza Besigye.

Lungajul said he defected because the Democratic Party is more focused on grooming personalities other than leaders while Oryema on his part said he was convinced FDC could lead the country better.

The two councilors declared their intentions to contest for the positions of chairman and vice chairman in the newly created district of Nwoya.

Dr. Kizza Besigye who had come to prepare party supporters for the 2011 elections said FDC wants to strengthen its leadership structures right from the grass root level
